Numerology clarifies the Dow's fall (and how!)

The Dow Jones Industrial average (INDU) fell 777.68 points today.  It was unpleasant for business, but how numerologically fascinating.  For thousands of years intuitives have studied the meaning and metaphor of numbers.  And in this world, metaphor is reality and reality metaphor.  Here is an interpretation based (for simplicity) on Doreen Virtue's book Healing with the Angels.  (Quotes from the book; my comments in italics.)

777  ~  "The angels applaud you... know that your wish is coming true.   This is an extremely positive sign and means that you should also expect more miracles to occur."  Know that you are loved and can love even though your investment portfolio hurts.

6  ~  "Your thoughts are out of balance right now, focused too much on the material world... balance your thoughts between heaven and earth... the angels ask you to focus on spirit and service, and know that your material and emotional needs will automatically be met as a result."  Let go of your worry, ask how you can help, and how you can be of service to the planet.  Then you will truly prosper.

8  ~  "A phase of your life is about to end, and this is a sign to give you forewarning so you can prepare... you are winding up an emotional, career or relationship phase.  It also means there is light at the end of the tunnel.  In addition, it means, "The crops are ripe. Don't wait to pick and enjoy them."  In other words, don't procrastinate making your move or enjoying the fruits of your labor."  Life goes in phases.  Are you truly enjoying yourself?  If not, consider a shift now.

68 together  ~  "You are about to part ways with something in your material world... If you do not intend to lose or sell anything, you can change your thoughts and alter this direction.  However, if you are intent on selling or detaching from something material in your life, consider this a sign that your wish is about to come true."  We are at a stillpoint.  If you feed your fears of disaster, you can create it.  If you feed yourself and the markets love and understanding that this is just one blip in aeons of existence, you can help turn it around.  Which do you want to happen?

You don't have to be a psychic healer to know that when one door closes another opens.  This market "crash" numerologically reflects our transition to a new way of thinking.  A "can do", "can help" way of being. 

It's a reminder that no matter how much money we have or don't have in our accounts, we can always make more because we are intrinsically of value, with innumerable gifts and hidden talents.  (I know: I analyze handprints and can see people's multiple talents and life purposes, even when they aren't paying attention themselves.)

Listen to the numbers.  The message was quite pertinent and clear.  What have you been putting off enjoying for some mythical "better"day?  The time is now.  Let go of that story about being miserable, and choose to have fun paying attention to what's really important in life.

I guarantee you, it's not the stock market.

In freedom, you heal

Healer to healer, soul to soul, from my channeling this morning:

You are.  Thou art.  You are so great a being, and you know it, too, on some level that may feel faraway to you now.  Your mind is uncomfortable with this idea of complete freedom.  You want to keep yourself small.

But of freedom you are and to freedom you shall return. 

In freedom we share, we be whole and be wholly our true selves.  In freedom, we can shift this planet into balance in a shorter time than you can imagine.  Freedom is within.  Onl y the shadows of our internal denial of freedom can be seen in the world around us.  Freedom flows [from our eternal selves] into a state of mind.  It is here and now, within and around you.  Choose to see it.  Focus on nothing else.  Allow, allow, allow.  For in freedom, you heal.

Surviving the stock market crash with love

Are you UPSET about the recent financial market turmoil, or are you LAUGHING AT IT and hugging your family, friends and children?

If you are panicking, get over yourself.   If you want to be a drama queen, try out for a play.

Try this on for size:  It doesn't matter how much you lost or how invested you were in the financial markets' well being.  Thinking like that is your imagination playing schoolgirl, telling you what you could have had, "if only". 

What counts -- in case you haven't noticed -- is what you DO have.  Right now.  If you can't see that, you're playing the fool, and nobody can help you, not even you.  When you look at what could have been, you lose all the joy and gifts you have right now.  You become a loser. 

Want to be a winner?  I suspect what you have now is much, much greater than any amount of money.  My stocks tanked, too, but here is where my life's richness and abundant wealth can always be found:

Love (which is free and generatable anywhen and anywhere),
My Friends (and all the friends I could make),
My Children (and all children everywhere, so precious),
My Romantic Life Partner,
My Loved Ones,
My Health,
My Pets,
The Joy I can find in a sunrise, helping someone, an accomplishment, writing...
My Clients and all those I have helped over the years as a healer & spiritual mentor,
My Connection to the Universe/Spirit/God/Love. 

Try it out.  For just 10 seconds, close your eyes and connect right now to all that which is truly valuable in your life, and see how that feels in your heart.

Nobody, and I mean nobody, can take that away from you. 

Any time you feel stressed today, close your eyes for a few seconds and count these blessings.  Feel them in your heart.  Feel that joy.  They are always yours, valued at your value, available any time through at least memory or thought.  Then see if you can uplift your fellow market mourners.  That, too, is a joy that can't be bought.

Many blessings on your continued journey, which has recently taken an interesting turn.  I know you can do this.

I'm laughing and kissing my Lehman Brothers stock goodBYE

Though I'm on vacation enjoying the US's desert southwest, I did notice that Lehman Brothers (LEH) is pretty much tanked.  From 1993 to 1996 I worked there as a senior writer, then manager of marketing communications in the Private Client Services division.  I loved the company, the people I worked with, and the benefits, which included stock.  It's hard to believe that the investment firm I idealized may be gone, left to be torn apart like carrion by the big financial buzzards.

And bye-bye to the shares I was paid with or bought myself.  LEH used to post a very pretty number on my stock statement.  Now, At $0.19 a share, I could buy a new pair of jeans with the lot.

Am I panicked, sad, or fearing that the entire financial system will collapse?

Don't be ridiculous.  Right now, I'm terribly amused.  I can't tell you how many times I wrote this sentence in my marketing material: "Past performance is no guarantee of future performance."  More than that, I know stock markets crash on occasion.  That's what they do.  The problem comes when people take it too seriously.

It reminds my of my favorite saying:  "It doesn't matter what happens; it matters how you react."  Will you react with grace and love, with understanding and good humor, with confidence that although one door closing, another is opening?

I choose to.  Because I know something the stock traders and conspiracy theorists don't.  I've studied the way the Universe works spiritually for a decade now.  And I know that when a lot of people pull together to pour love into a system, it loses its ability to hurt and harm.  How about that: you can change the outcome now.  So stop feeling sorry for yourself and do something.

When I read stories about the markets today, I can feel the collective fear, the terror, as I read.  Can you?  It's not actually what you're feeling in the moment yourself; you're tapping in to this collective fear.  If you do that too much, you start to resonate with it--you take it on.  But fear comes from a lack of understanding of what is really going on: nothing.  Energy moving around.  Numbers changing.  Are you really inherently different in your core being because some numbers changed?  No.  So why are you afraid?

Because you've created a fiction about what will happen to you because of these numbers changing.  Can you truly say this will happen with 110% certainty?  No, of course not.

Meanwhile, your story cuts you off from the blissful, abundant, peaceful relationship you innately have with the Universe.  And when you feel cut off, you panic.  My favorite analogy (my clients will forgive me for repeating myself) is that it's like what you feel when your lungs are cut off from the air.  Struggle, panic, flailing about, harming others in a desperate attempt to help yourself.  This is what your mind then does with these stories.  And this mind struggle cuts you off from your relationship with the Divine or the Universe (choose your term).  Your loving, blissful, happy, confident, joyful, sharing relationship.

Is that what you want to give up because some numbers changed?  Not me.

So I challenge you:  send in the antidote to fear.  Be the Divine Love you are.  Get a grip and get over this blip.  Have a good laugh.  Send the stock market some Love.  Pray for the traders and all those making decisions right now, that they may create the greatest good of everyone.  Send them All-Encompassing Love. 

And love your en-lightened portfolio, too.  I know you can handle this.

What are you afraid of?

I recently met someone who invariably asked, "So, what do you do?" 

(Healers, does this question make you cringe, too?)

I usually say I've been a healer for a decade and am now writing a book about healers and the healing path.  But most look at me skeptically and a little sadly, like I'm a little kid excited about a beautiful bubble that's destined to pop soon, and they are the knowing, skeptical, pragmatic adult.

Well, let 'em believe what they believe.  I choose to hang out with healers who understand the greater potential in this beautiful universe.

Think about this:  Most people who don't believe in frequency healing or any "woo-woo" stuff haven't investigated it.  They will cite articles from national news magazines or newspapers that "prove" it doesn't work, but that's the extent of their investigations.  (Somehow, that makes them experts in their eyes.)  Then they decide that I who have taken 1300+ hours of classes, practiced frequency healing for 10 years and seen innumerable cases of success with it... I'm just under a sad, temporary delusion. 

No, it doesn't make sense.  But don't let it bug you.  Have compassion.  That irrational behavior tells me that FEAR is afoot.  What are they afraid of?  Among other things, they are afraid of being wrong.

That's a fear I've let run my life, too, until a few years ago.  It's limiting, debilitating.  We are so afraid of humiliation, of making a mistake, of being wrong.  Don't ask me what we think will happen;  it's irrational.  This mere fear closes these nonbelievers off to the immense potential that can be had if only they expand their concept of life to include energy and the information it carries. 

Ironically, by avoiding what they see as a potential mistake, they make a big one in my eyes:  they close themselves off to possibility.

A friend of mine once channeled:  "There is no mnemonic for 'mistake'.  What you call a mistake is simply another path choice."  So true.  There is no reason for us to fear mistakes.  We learn so much from them.  And knowing humiliation allows us to find confidence, to center ourselves in our own tried-and-true beliefs.  It makes us more solid within, allows us to find our inner selves, our passions, and to live them fully.

What am I afraid of now?  If anything, it's the possibility of missing something wonderful.  So if you told me about a new healing method, I'd rather believe you, ask a lot of questions to see if it's like anything I know, and try it myself to see if there's anything to it.  The chances of winning are so much greater than the consequences of missing out if I stay stuck in my fear of being wrong.

So I don't let the nonbelievers stress me.  I bless them.  They make me stronger by helping me tell my story, even in the face of utter disbelief.  Stop banging your heads against these folks, who are often our beloved partners, family and friends.  Love them as they are, knowing but for the grace of God, there you would be too.  Seek out other healers for company and sanity.  Stay in your Truth.

Were you well trained to NOT receive gifts?

This morning in a store, I overheard this conversation:

   4-year-old girl: "That's for my birthday."

   Mother:  "What, you want that for your birthday?  You want to ask for that?"

   Girl, simply and happily stating a fact:  "That's for my birthday."

   Mother:  "Do you think that you can just get that because it's your birthday?"

   Girl, enthusiastically:  "Yes!"

   Mother, getting a little frustrated for no apparent reason:  "You think that's how it works, huh,
   that just because you want something, you can get it?"

At this point I wanted to run over to the mother and say:  "YES! Absolutely! Those are the rules!"  But she went on to explain that her daughter could NOT have whatever she wanted just because she wanted it.  When that girl grows up, how will that "rule" affect the results she gets when she wants anything?

In childhood our brains flow in a relaxed alpha-wave state, a highly suggestive state, and we take everything in as a fact.  Though our caregivers have the best intentions, something like this very likely happened to you too. 

Before age 6 or so, we believe everything we hear, every "rule" adults tell us (even if they're just making it up one time to cajole us into doing something).  We also record every crazy nonsensical childish "rule" we've created trying to make sense of the sometimes confusing grownup world.  These perma-thoughts form our belief systems, which create thought habits, which direct your life.  All below the radar of your conscious mind.  Tricky, isn't it?

So many of us walk around not receiving our gifts, not accepting easy, respectful, mutually loving relationships, saying "no thanks" to  abundant wealth, windfalls, and other conveniences of life that are ours for the plucking, that actually already belong to us --- except we believed it when someone said we shouldn't accept them.  So we don't.

I help clients reprogram old belief systems blocking their path, but you don't have to be psychic to do this.  And the transformative effects can be huge.  Do you have an emptiness or seeming shortfall in your life?  What does that situation remind you of from long ago, or what does being in that feeling remind you of?  What do you need or are you trying to trigger by maintaining this situation?  Do you have any childish thoughts about it?  Jot them all down, no matter how silly.  What did you find?

Chase those feelings and thoughts back to their source and find the belief system at root.  When you question those beliefs, they will change.  Your subconscious is actually quite reasonable.  It's just that these rules haven't been reviewed since you created them in childhood. Time for a makeover.
