Healers, why are you in business? What motivates you? Why do you practice your healing techniques and processes? Why do you do what you do?
I don't mean why are you a healer... For most of us, healing is what we can't not do. We know we are here to help and uplift, to inspire others to reach for their potential (and to work on a few of our own blocks to potential too). Healing just happens around us, and when we love ourselves and open to it, even more happens. Healers are just who we are. I love the way my teacher Terry Cole-Whittaker put it to me last week:
"You're a child of God. You're just in the family business." (Find her at http://www.TerryColeWhittaker.com)
So what I mean is: what is your vision? What keeps you looking ahead, keeps you climbing that mountain in joy, carrying the light for the rest of us? What is your vision that makes you jump out of bed every morning, eager to get into your office because you know you're making a difference, in body, mind and soul? What is your personal "mission" statement?
Take five minutes to take a stab at it right now. Write it out. Put it on your vision board. Put it on the bathroom mirror, the refrigerator. Revise it and hone it as you are inspired to, until you LOVE it and you're sure it's why you're here. Read it aloud to begin your day. Make sure everything you do in your healing practice is in harmony with this statement, and that this statement is in harmony with the authentic you.
And get ready to love your life! Life doesn't get better than living your healing vision.
