This message channeled its way through me into a client's healing session this morning, and she graciously gave me permission to share it.
It is posed as a question but came in clearly as an assignment, not a rhetorical wondering or an interesting thought. While I know the question was for her, the tone of it demanded the two of us each in our own way each find our own answer to it. This is the gift of true channeling: it applies to whoever hears it, exactly at the time you hear it.
"If you are not in conflict, how can you feel and know who you are?"
Conflict gives us the tension and power to change our identities and our lives. It is through the mirror of the opposite side of conflict that we begin to see who we are: "rebel", "activist", "purist", "on the good or right or holy side, and therefore good or right or holy".
Without conflict, then, how do you achieve knowing who you are?
I can't say I've got my own full answer on this assignment yet, but here's an even better question I would ask as a spiritual mentor: How can you do more of whatever that is going forward?
That's a big assignment. How are you doing?
