Last week I had a fabulous and powerful time hanging out with my coach and her mastermind group in Key Biscayne, Florida. For all you creatives, healers, intuitives and visionaries out there, I wanted to share a redeeming tidbit of insight.
Someone mentioned that an attribute -- yes a supporting FEATURE -- of the successful, world-changing visionary was... drum roll please... optimism.
Glass-half-full-itis. Seeing every cloud's silver lining. Finding life's gems. Making life's lemons into lemonade and its manure into fertilizer. I'm an incurable optimist too. Are you?
It's funny, glass-half-empty folks can see the emptiness in our optimism too. The implication is that you're spacey, ungrounded, fluffy, and unrealistic.
Not so. Optimism is a strength. You can use your trait to think outside the box, to see solutions where nobody else can... while everyone else is still complaining about the problem. (Luckily, you also know they'll come around some day, whew.)
I want you to know it's OK to carry hope in your heart. The world in fact relies on you to do so. Yay you! And thank you for being you.
Spit happens. Are you going to cry about it, or use it to shine your shoes and get going? Here's a great song from South Pacific I hope you enjoy.
